Help lives on meridianeditor.com
The manual, quick starts, and support page are the help destinations for Meridian. Keep a guide open beside the Mac app or in your device’s browser while you edit. Opening a web guide requires connectivity; the editing project remains in Meridian.
Start with Mac or iPhone/iPad. Use the manual’s search for a task such as “portable project,” “caption draft,” or “split.” Platform labels distinguish Mac menu instructions from mobile touch paths.
Open a guide from the Mac
The current Mac Help menu includes Meridian User Guide, Workspace Guide, Keyboard Commands, Project Recovery Help, Subscription Help, and Meridian Support. These links point to the website. Settings also links to the manual and relevant storage/playback guides.
Help → Open Offline Sample and Load Demo Project… open actual editing examples; they are project actions rather than copies of the help manual. Hide or reset demo suggestions through the getting-started preferences when you prefer a quieter startup.
Settings on iPhone and iPad
Open the gear on Projects, or Project Options → Settings from the editor.
- Getting started includes Replay introduction and Open Offline Sample. The sample opens a real project you can explore.
- Projects includes Share Portable Project and Projects and Storage Guide.
- Preferences includes Hide demo suggestions.
- The subscription sections report export access and provide refresh and restore actions.
- Help on meridianeditor.com links to Meridian User Guide, Keyboard Commands, and Meridian Support.
- About shows the installed version and build, with website, privacy-policy, and terms links.
Section names may differ in an earlier app version. The online guides remain available directly from this site.
About and support information
iPhone/iPad: open Settings → About and read Version and Build. Mac: choose Help → About Meridian. Use these installed-app values when asking for help; a website date is not the app’s version.
When seeking help, include the version/build, platform, device or Mac model, workspace, command, exact error, and the smallest steps that reproduce it. For import/export issues include codec, canvas, and frame rate if known. For purchase issues use the displayed access status and action result. Never share passwords or payment details.
Recover an awkward state
Use the layout reset on Mac if panel sizes become difficult to use. On iOS, return from the expanded viewer or choose a focused Editor Region. For a pending draft or write failure, follow saving and recovery. For access issues, follow subscriptions and restore. Removing project files or reinstalling the app is not the first recovery step.
