Choose the primary picture
Magnetic editing helps titles and sound remain attached to primary picture edits. Inspect the Magnetic editing option and the chosen Primary picture track before enabling a workflow that depends on attachments.
The primary picture should represent the story’s main visual sequence. An overlay or title track is usually a poor substitute for that purpose.
Test a small edit first
Make a short trim or move and check the attached elements around it. Verify that captions, graphics, music accents, and secondary picture still occur where you intend. A mechanically retained relationship may still need a creative adjustment.
Use linked selection for related picture and sound components; use magnetic behavior for attachments to the primary story. They solve different problems.
Review after a restructure
Watch the full affected region and any elements that cross its boundaries. Save a named version before changing a substantial section. If the result is wrong, Undo and revisit the primary-track or attachment setup before repeating the operation.
